Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Symantec Veritas Storage Foundation. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can send specially crafted data to the VRTSweb component on port 14300 to trigger an input validation flaw and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with administrative privileges.

The following Veritas Storage Foundation products are also affected:

Symantec Veritas Storage Foundation for Windows High Availability (SFWHA)
Symantec Veritas Storage Foundation for High Availability (SFHA)
Symantec Veritas Storage Foundation for Oracle (SFO)
Symantec Veritas Storage Foundation for DB2
Symantec Veritas Storage Foundation for Sybase
Symantec Veritas Storage Foundation for Oracle Real Application Cluster (SFRAC)
Symantec Veritas Storage Foundation Manager (SFM)
Symantec Veritas Storage Foundation Cluster File System (SFCFS)
Symantec Veritas Storage Foundation Cluster File System for Oracle RAC (SFCFS RAC)

Several other Symantec products are affected.

An anonymous reported this vulnerability via TippingPoint.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
