Description:
A vulnerability was reported in Java Web Start. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.
A remote user can create a specially crafted Java Web Start application that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a stack overflow in the command launcher and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.
Chris Ries of Carnegie Mellon University Computing Services reported this vulnerability.

Solution:
Apple has issued a fix for Mac OS X. Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 5 may be obtained from the Software Update pane in System Preferences, or Apple's Software Downloads web site at:
