Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server. A remote user can determine IP address information.

A remote user can send an empty packet to the SOCKS4 proxy to obtain the IP address of the most recent destination host that the proxy sent traffic to.

The vendor was notified on January 30, 2006.

CIRT.DK reported this vulnerability via TippingPoint.

Impact:   A remote user can determine the IP address that the SOCKS4 proxy last sent data to.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (2004 SP3).

vulnerability since September 20, 2007 by Digital Vaccine protection

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to extract IP addresses
visited through the SOCKS4 Proxy on vulnerable ISA Server
installations. Authentication is not required to exploit this
vulnerability.

This specific flaw exists when an empty packet is sent to the SOCKS4.
The server will return a packet containing the last IP address it
proxied to.
