Description:   A vulnerability was reported in libodm on IBM AIX. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can trigger a buffer overflow in the Object Data Manager library to execute arbitrary code on the target system with root privileges.

The vendor was notified on April 2, 2007.

iDefense reported this vulnerability to IBM.

Impact:   A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued the following fixes, available at:
