Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Mozilla Thunderbird. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will cause the LiveConnect code to attempt to reuse a previously freed object and crash or potentially execute arbitrary code on the target user's system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

Thunderbird is not affected unless it has been customized to load Java applets or other plugins.

Steven Michaud reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can create HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fixed version (1.5.0.9).
