Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the CR64Loader ActiveX control. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

The CLSID of the vulnerable control is:

288C5F13-7E52-4ADA-A32E-F5BF9D125F99

The control has been used by the Retro64 and Miniclip game software web sites.

Impact:   A remote user can create HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:   No solution was available at the time of this entry.

As a workaround, you can set the kill bit for the CLSID {288C5F13-7E52-4ADA-A32E-F5BF9D125F99}, as described at:
