Description:   A vulnerability was reported in WebLogic Server. The console displays the domain name prior to authentication. The console also displays the IP address to remote authenticated administrators.

A remote user with access to the Console interface can determine the domain name before login.

A remote authenticated administrator can view the WebLogic Server IP address in the WebLogic Server Administration Console.

Impact:   A remote user can determine the domain name of the target system.

A remote authenticated administrator can determine the IP address of the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued the following solution [quoted]:

WebLogic Server and WebLogic Express version 8.1

* Upgrade to service pack 5.

WebLogic Server and WebLogic Express version 7.0

* Upgrade to service pack 7.
