Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Microsoft Edge. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can bypass security controls on the target system. A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system. A remote user can spoof servers.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger an object memory handling error and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system [CVE-2017-8731, CVE-2017-8734, CVE-2017-8751, CVE-2017-11766].

A remote user can create a specially crafted ActiveX control marked "safe for initialization" in an application or Microsoft Office document that hosts the browser rendering engine that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger an object memory handling error and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system [CVE-2017-8757].

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger an object memory handling error and obtain potentially sensitive information on the target user's system [CVE-2017-8597, CVE-2017-8648].

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a clipboard processing error and obtain potentially sensitive information on the target user's system [CVE-2017-8643].

A remote user can bypass Content Security Policy (CSP) [CVE-2017-8723, CVE-2017-8754].

A remote user can create a specially crafted URL that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger an HTTP response processing error and redirect the target user's browser and spoof content [CVE-2017-8724, CVE-2017-8735].

Liu Long of Qihoo 360Vulcan Team, Giorgi Maisuradze, CISPA, Maksymilian Motyl from CERT Orange Poland, Zhong Zhaochen (@asnine) of Neusoft, Jun Kokatsu (@shhnjk), and Ivan Fratric of Google Project Zero reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can create content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A remote user can bypass security controls on the target system.

A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system.

A remote user can spoof content.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
