Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco IOS/IOS XE. A remote authenticated user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

A remote authenticated user can send specially SNMP data to trigger a flaw in the processing of IPv6 packets and consume excessive CPU resources on the target system or cause the target device to reload.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCvb14640 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote authenticated user can consume excessive CPU resources on the target system or cause the target device to reload.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
