Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Ghostscript. A local user can cause denial of service conditions on the target application.

A local user can create a specially crafted ghostscript file that, when processed by the target application, will trigger a null pointer dereference in mem_get_bits_rectangle() and cause the target application to crash.

Impact:   A local user can cause denial of service conditions on the target application.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a source code fix [in March 2017], available at:
