Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Oracle VM VirtualBox. A local user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system. A local user can access and modify data on the target system. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can exploit a flaw in the Oracle VM VirtualBox Core component to gain elevated privileges [CVE-2017-10204, CVE-2017-10129].

A local user can exploit a flaw in the Oracle VM VirtualBox Core component to partially access data, partially modify data, and deny service [CVE-2017-10210, CVE-2017-10236, CVE-2017-10237, CVE-2017-10238, CVE-2017-10239, CVE-2017-10240, CVE-2017-10241, CVE-2017-10242].

A local user can exploit a flaw in the Oracle VM VirtualBox Core component to partially modify data and cause denial of service conditions [CVE-2017-10233, CVE-2017-10235].

A local user can exploit a flaw in the Oracle VM VirtualBox Core component to partially access data and cause partial denial of service conditions [CVE-2017-10209].

A local user can exploit a flaw in the Oracle VM VirtualBox Core component to partially modify data and cause partial denial of service conditions [CVE-2017-10187].

James Forshaw, Reno Robert, Li Qiang of the Qihoo 360 Gear Team, and Lucas Molas of Fundacion SadoskySeveral researchers reported some of these vulnerabilities.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix as part of the July 2017 Oracle Critical Patch Update.
