Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Windows PowerShell. A remote authenticated user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote authenticated user can send specially crafted data to trigger a deserialization error in PowerShell when PSObject wraps a common information model (CIM) instance to execute arbitrary code in a PowerShell remote session.

Oleksandr Mirosh and Alvaro Munoz (@pwntester) from Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Security reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote authenticated user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
