Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco Nexus 9000 Series. A remote user can cause the target service to crash.

A remote user can send specially crafted telnet packets to the target telnet service to trigger a packet header validation flaw and cause the target service to restart, causing other telnet logins to fail.

Traffic flowing through the device is not affected.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCux46778 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target service to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
