Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Oracle Solaris. A remote user can conduct amplified denial of service attacks.

A remote user can exploit an administrative query function in ntpd (via MODE_CONTROL [Mode 6] and MODE_PRIVATE [Mode 7] control messages) to amplify distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks against other sites.
