Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in EMC Smarts Network Configuration Manager. A remote authenticated user can execute arbitrary commands on the target system. A remote user can bypass security controls on the target system.

A remote authenticated user can send specially crafted data to several Java RMI Registry ports that do not require authentication to execute arbitrary Java commands on the target system [CVE-2017-2767].

A remote user can start a rogue Zebedee client and bypass firewall restrictions to connect to Zebedee Server ports [CVE-2017-2768].

Impact:   A remote authenticated user can execute arbitrary Java commands on the target system.

A remote user can bypass the firewall to access to Zebedee Server ports on the protected network.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (9.4.1 Patch 20; Advisory ESA-2017-003).
