Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Wireshark. A remote user can consume excessive CPU resources on the target system.

A remote user can supply specially crafted data to cause the ASTERIX dissector to enter an infinite loop and consume excessive CPU resources on the target system [CVE-2017-5596].

A remote user can supply specially crafted data to cause the DHCPv6 dissector to enter a large processing loop and consume excessive CPU resources on the target system [CVE-2017-5597].

Antti Levomaki and Christian Jalio, Forcepoint, reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can consume excessive CPU resources on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (2.2.4, 2.0.10).
