Description:   A vulnerability was reported in NETGEAR ProSAFE Firewalls. A remote user can view files on the target system.

The software does not properly validate user-supplied input. A remote user can supply a specially crafted request to view files on target system that are located outside of the web directory.

The ProSAFE Firewall Models FVS336Gv3, FVS318N, FVS318Gv2, and SRX5308 are affected.

Impact:   A remote user can view arbitrary files on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (firmware 4.3.3-8) [in November 2016].
