SecurityTracker Alert ID:  1037521
SecurityTracker URL:  http://securitytracker.com/id/1037521
CVE Reference:   CVE-2016-6933, CVE-2016-6934   (Links to External Site)
Date:  Dec 22 2016
Impact:   Disclosure of authentication information, Disclosure of user information, Execution of arbitrary code via network, Modification of user information
Fix Available:  Yes  Vendor Confirmed:  Yes
Version(s): 10.0.4, 11.0.1
Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in Adobe Experience Manager Forms. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks. Adobe LiveCycle is affected.

The software does not properly filter HTML code from user-supplied input before displaying the input. A remote user can cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will originate from the site running the Adobe Experience Manager Forms software and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

The AACComponent is affected [CVE-2016-6933].

The PMAdmin module is affected [CVE-2016-6934].

Adam Willard of Blue Canopy reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site running the Adobe Experience Manager Forms software, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.
Solution:   Adobe Systems Incorporated has issued a fix for Adobe LiveCycle (10.0.4-COR-1064-025, 10.0.4-PRM-1065-007, 11.0.1-COR-1155-044, 11.0.1-PRM-1161-017).
