Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco IOS and IOS XE. A remote user can bypass security controls on the target system.

A remote user can exploit a logic error in a Zone-Based Firewall configuration to bypass the firewall to access resources on the target system or network in certain cases.

Systems with only one zone pair defined in the egress direction and with no reverse zone pair defined in the opposite direction are affected.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCuz21015 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can bypass the firewall to access hosts or resources on the protected network.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (15.5(3)M4.1, 15.6(2)T0.1, 15.6(2.0.1a)T0, 15.6(2.19)T, 15.6(3)M).
