Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco IOS, IOS XE, and IOS XR. A remote user can obtain memory contents on the target system.

A remote user can send specially crafted IKEv1 packets via IPv4 or IPv6 to the IKE service on the target device to obtain memory contents from the target device.

The IKE service may run on UDP ports 500, 848, 4500, or 4848.

[Editor's note: This vulnerability is similar to the BENIGNCERTAIN vulnerability reported by Shadow Brokers.]

The vendor has assigned bug IDs CSCvb29204 and CSCvb36055 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can obtain memory contents on the target system.
Solution:   No solution was available at the time of this entry.

The vendor plans to issue a fix.
