Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco IOS XE. A remote user on the local network can cause the target system to crash.

A remote user on the local network can send a flood of IPv6 neighbor discovery (ND) messages to consume all available memory on the target device and cause the device to crash.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCup28217 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user on the local network can cause the target device to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (15.5(2)S2 (3.15.2S), 15.5(3)S1 (3.16.1S)).
