Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Microsoft Internet Explorer. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can gain elevated privileges. A remote user can bypass security controls on the target system. A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information on the target system. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system [CVE-2015-1733, CVE-2015-1738, CVE-2015-1767, CVE-2015-2383, CVE-2015-2384, CVE-2015-2385, CVE-2015-2388, CVE-2015-2389, CVE-2015-2390, CVE-2015-2391, CVE-2015-2397, CVE-2015-2401, CVE-2015-2403, CVE-2015-2404, CVE-2015-2406, CVE-2015-2408, CVE-2015-2411, CVE-2015-2422, CVE-2015-2425].

A remote user can create specially crafted content or ActiveX control marked as 'safe for initialization' that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary VBScript on the target user's system [CVE-2015-2372]. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

The software does not properly validate permissions under certain conditions [CVE-2015-2402]. As a result, a remote user that can exploit a separate script execution vulnerability can cause the script to run with elevated privileges.

The cross-site scripting (XSS) filter does not properly disable an HTML attribute in the HTTP response data [CVE-2015-2398]. As a result, a remote user can cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will will run in the security context of the target site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

A remote user can create specially crafted content or ActiveX control marked as 'safe for initialization' that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary JScript on the target user's system [CVE-2015-2419]. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will bypass the Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) protection features on the target user's system [CVE-2015-2421].

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will access potentially sensitive information on the target user's system.

A remote user can access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site running the Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) software, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
