Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco IOS. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

A remote user can send specially crafted ICMPv4 packets to a target interface that is configured to perform virtual routing and forwarding (VRF) to cause a queue wedge and prevent the interface from processing additional packets.

Packets sent through the device do not trigger this flaw.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCsi02145 to this vulnerability.

Cisco IOS-XE is not affected.

Cisco IOS XR is not affected.

Cisco NX-OS is not affected.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target interface to stop processing packets.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
