Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Microsoft Internet Explorer. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can determine the installation path.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a memory corruption error and execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2014-4143, CVE-2014-6337, CVE-2014-6341, CVE-2014-6342, CVE-2014-6343, CVE-2014-6344, CVE-2014-6347, CVE-2014-6348, CVE-2014-6351, CVE-2014-6353]. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

A remote user can cause scripts to be executed with elevated privileges [CVE-2014-6349, CVE-2014-6350].

A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information from another domain [CVE-2014-6340, CVE-2014-6345, CVE-2014-6346].

A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information from the target user's clipboard [CVE-2014-6323].

A remote user can bypass Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) security protection features [CVE-2014-6339].

and Pengfei Guo of Qihoo 360 reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can create content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information.

A remote user can bypass Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) security protection features.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.

A patch matrix is available in the vendor's advisory.

On December 9, 2014, the vendor re-released MS14-065 due to an issue with Security Update 3003057 that may not have fully addressed CVE-2014-6353. The vendor advises users of IE 8 on Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 and users of IE 10 to install this new update (or the December Internet Explorer Cumulative Update (3008923)).
