Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Microsoft Silverlight. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

Silverlight does not properly free memory while rendering specially crafted XAML glyphs. A remote user can create a specially crafted Silverlight application that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

Alex Plaskett of MWR InfoSecurity reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can create Silverlight content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.

A patch matrix is available in the vendor's advisory.

A restart is required.
