Description:   Several vulnerabilities were reported in Google Chrome. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. VMware ESX Server is affected by the libxml vulnerability.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

Specially crafted animation frames can trigger a use-after-free memory error [CVE-2011-3921]. Boris Zbarsky of Mozilla reported this vulnerability.

A remote user can trigger a heap overflow in libxml [CVE-2011-3919]. Juri Aedla reported this vulnerability.

A remote user can trigger a stack overflow in glyph handling [CVE-2011-3922]. The Google Chrome Security Team (Cris Neckar) reported this vulnerability.

A remote user can trigger a use-after-free in Safe Browsing navigation [CVE-2011-3925]. Chamal de Silva reported this vulnerability.


Impact:   A remote user can create HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:   VMware has issued a fix for CVE-2011-3919 for ESX Server:

4.1: ESX410-201204402-SG

A fix for 4.0 is included in the patches described in VMSA-2012-0006 [http://www.vmware.com/security/advisories/VMSA-2012-0006.html].

3. Problem Description

 a. ESX third party update for Service Console kernel

    The ESX Service Console Operating System (COS) kernel is updated
    which addresses several security issues in the COS kernel.

    The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures project (cve.mitre.org) has
    assigned the names CVE-2011-3191, CVE-2011-4348 and CVE-2012-0028 to
    these issues.

    Column 4 of the following table lists the action required to

    The ESX Console Operating System (COS) libxml2 rpms are updated to
    the following versions libxml2-2.6.26-2.1.12.el5_7.2 and
    libxml2-python-2.6.26-2.1.12.el5_7.2 which addresses several
    security issues.

    The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures project (cve.mitre.org) has
    assigned the names CVE-2010-4008, CVE-2011-0216, CVE-2011-1944,
    CVE-2011-2834, CVE-2011-3905, CVE-2011-3919 to these issues.
