Description:
Several vulnerabilities were reported in Wireshark. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.
A remote user can send specially crafted data to cause the target service to crash.
A null pointer dereference can be triggered in the ANSI A dissector [CVE-2012-1593].
An infinite loop can occur in the IEEE 802.11 dissector [CVE-2012-1594].
A memory corruption error can occur in the pcap and pcap-ng file parsers when reading ERF data [CVE-2012-1595].
A memory allocation error can occur in the MP2T dissector [CVE-2012-1596].

A remote user can cause Wireshark to crash.

Solution:
The vendor has issued a fix (1.4.12, 1.6.6).
