Description:
A vulnerability was reported in Novell GroupWise. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.
A remote user can create a specially crafted Novell Address Book (*.NAB) file that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a heap overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.
GroupWise 2012 is not affected.
The vendor was notified on November 30, 2011.

Impact:
A remote user can create a file that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

The vendor has issued a fix (8.0 Support Pack 2 post-HP3 FTF).
