Description:
Two vulnerabilities were reported in OpenSSL. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions. A remote user may be able to bypass CRL updates.
The internal certificate verification routines may incorrectly accept a certificate revocation list (CRL) with a nextUpdate field value that is in the past [CVE-2011-3207]. Applications that enable the internal CRL checking [not the default setting] are affected. Only versions 1.0.0 through 1.0.0d are affected.
Kaspar Brand reported this vulnerability.
A remote user can send a specially crafted, out of order handshake message to exploit a flaw in the ephemeral ECDH ciphersuite code and cause the service to crash [CVE-2011-3210].
Adam Langley reported this vulnerability.
