Description:
A vulnerability was reported in Microsoft Windows Ancillary Function Driver. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
The Ancillary Function Driver (afd.sys) does not properly validate user mode data. A local user can run a specially crafted application to execute arbitrary code on the target system with elevated privileges.
Bo Zhou of National University of Defense Technology reported this vulnerability.
