Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Linux Kernel. A local user can cause denial of service conditions.

A local user can monitor overflow on the perf::perf_count_sw_cpu_clock event to cause the target system to lock up.

The vulnerability resides in the __perf_event_overflow() function in 'kernel/events/core.c'.

Vince Weaver reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can cause the target system to lock up.
