Description:
Several vulnerabilities were reported in Mozilla Thunderbird. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.
A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2011-0053, CVE-2011-0062]. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.
A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will exploit a flaw in ParanoidFragmentSink and potentially execute javascript: URLs and JavaScript code [CVE-2010-1585].
A remote user can create a specially crafted JPEG image that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a buffer overflow and later execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2011-0061].
Jesse Ruderman, Igor Bukanov, Olli Pettay, Gary Kwong, Jeff Walden, Henry Sivonen, Martijn Wargers, David Baron, Marcia Knous, Roberto Suggi Liverani, and Jordi Chancel reported these vulnerabilities.

3. Description:
Mozilla Thunderbird is a standalone mail and newsgroup client.
Several flaws were found in the processing of malformed HTML content.
Malicious HTML content could cause Thunderbird to crash or, potentially,
execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the user running Thunderbird.
(CVE-2010-1585, CVE-2011-0053, CVE-2011-0062)
A flaw was found in the way Thunderbird handled malformed JPEG images. An
HTML mail message containing a malicious JPEG image could cause
Thunderbird to crash or, potentially, execute arbitrary code with the
privileges of the user running Thunderbird. (CVE-2011-0061)
All Thunderbird users should upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves these issues. All running instances of Thunderbird must be
restarted for the update to take effect.
4. Solution:
Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
This update is available via the Red Hat Network. Details on how to
use the Red Hat Network to apply this update are available at
http://kbase.redhat.com/faq/docs/DOC-11259
