Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Solaris. A local user can cause denial of service conditions.

A local user can exploit a flaw in the /dev/ucode driver to trigger a kernel panic.

Solaris 8, 9, and 10 on the SPARC platform are not affected.

Impact:   A local user can cause a kernel panic on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.

x86 Platform

* Solaris 10 with patch 143913-01 or later
* OpenSolaris based upon builds snv_134 or later
