Description:
A vulnerability was reported in Apple Safari. A remote user can launch local files to obtain potentially sensitive information.
A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will invoke the WebKit plug-in interface and launch local URLs. This can be exploited to obtain potentially sensitive information from the target user's system.
Billy Rios of Microsoft and Nitesh Dhanjani of Ernst & Young reported this vulnerability.
