Description:
A vulnerability was reported in Apple Time Machine. A local user can obtain potentially sensitive log files.
When a system is backed up with Time Machine, the system saves several log files to the backup drive with permissions that allow users to view the log files.
Systems prior to version 10.5 are not affected.

Solution:
The vendor has issued a fix as part of Mac OS X v10.5.5 and Security Update 2008-006, available from the Software Update pane in System Preferences, or Apple's Software Downloads web site at:
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/
The Software Update utility will present the update that applies to your system configuration. Only one is needed, either Mac OS X v10.5.5 or Security Update 2008-006.
