Description:
Several vulnerabilities were reported in Microsoft Internet Explorer. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.
A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.
Specially crafted COM objects, CSS tags, code to install multiple language packs, code to access an uninitialized or deleted object, and code to launch a Speech Control ActiveX control can trigger remote code execution.
A remote user can also create a URL that will modify the "Navigation to the webpage was canceled" page to spoof content in a browser window.
Microsoft credits iDefense, Tom Cross of ISS, Sam Thomas, TippingPoint, Will Dorman of CERT/CC, and cocoruder of Fortinet Security Research with reporting these vulnerabilities.
