Description:
A vulnerability was reported in Macromedia ColdFusion. A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.
A previous patch (referenced in APSB06-17) set unsafe directory permissions. A local user can modify key program files so that when ColdFusion is restarted, arbitrary code will be executed with root privileges.
Adobe credits Sean Larsson of iDefense Labs and Hans Omli of Shoe String Ventures with reporting this vulnerability.

Solution:
Adobe has described how to manually modified the vulnerable directory permissions to remove the vulnerable configuration.
