Description:
A vulnerability was reported in Microsoft Internet Explorer in the processing of FTP server responses. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.
A remote FTP server can send specially crafted responses to the target user's connected Internet Explorer FTP client to trigger a memory corruption error and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.
Microsoft credits iDefense with reporting this vulnerability.
