Description:   A vulnerability was reported in libpng. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can create a PNG image with specially crafted sPLT chunks that, when processed by the target user, will trigger an error in the png_set_sPLT() function and cause the application using libpng to crash.

The vulnerability resides in 'pngset.c'.

Tavis Ormandy reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can create a PNG image that, when loaded by the target user, will cause the target application to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued fixed versions (1.0.21, 1.2.13, and 1.4.0beta14).
