Description:
Vulnerabilities were reported in the Nortel 802.11 Wireless IP Gateway in the processing of H.323 messages. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.
The University of Oulu Security Programming Group (OUSPG) created a test suite for the H.323 protocol family. NISCC reported that the Nortel 802.11 Wireless IP Gateway contains vulnerabilities as tested by the OUSPG H.323 test suite.
Nortel has reportedly issued Product Advisory Alert No. PAA-2003-0465-Global regarding these vulnerabilities.

NISCC reported that the following Nortel products may contain vulnerabilities as tested by
the OUSPG H.323 test suite:
- The Business Communications Manager (BCM) (all versions); see Product Advisory Alert No.
PAA 2003-0392-Global.
- The Succession 1000 IP Trunk and IP Peer Networking and the 802.11 Wireless IP Gateway;
see Product Advisory Alert No. PAA-2003-0465-Global.
