Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the SQLData Enterprise Server from SQLData Systems, Inc. A remote user can cause the application to crash and may be able to execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges and take full control of the server.

SecurityFocus reported that a remote user can create a specially crafted request with a long string of characters to trigger a stack overflow. [Editor's note: This is believed to be an HTTP GET request, but the report did not indicate the type of request.]

According to the report, this allows the remote user to execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges on the server or cause the application to crash.

This bug was reportedly discovered by Mr. Giggles <giggles@pullonthis.com>.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the application to crash or can execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM level privileges.

SecurityFocus reported a vulnerability in the SQLData Enterprise Server
from SQLData Systems, Inc.

A remote user can reportedly create a specially crafted request with a
long string of characters to trigger a stack overflow.  According to the
report, this may allow the remote user to execute arbitrary code with
SYSTEM privileges on the server or may cause the application to crash.

The affected version is: SQLData Enterprise Server 3.0

This bug was reportedly discovered by Mr. Giggles
<giggles@pullonthis.com>.
