Description:
A vulnerability was reported in Mozilla Firefox. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, can read the the properties set on an object passed to showModalDialog in a different domain. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of a different domain.
Hidetake Jo of Microsoft Vulnerability Research and an anonymous researcher (via TippingPoint) independently reported this vulnerability.

Impact:
A remote user can access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with an arbitrary site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

Solution:
The vendor has issued a fix (3.0.18, 3.5.8, 3.6).
