Description:  A vulnerability was reported in nss_ldap. A remote user may be able to obtain information intended for another LDAP user request.

A remote user may be able to exploit a race condition in nss_ldap in the processing of LDAP connection to cause the service to return information to the wrong requesting process.

[Editor's note: This was originally reported in March 2005 as pertaining to Dovecot.]

Impact:  A remote user may be able to obtain information intended for another LDAP user request.
Solution:  The vendor has issued a fix.
