Description: A vulnerability was reported in the NASA Common Data Format Library. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target system.
A remote user can create a specially crafted CDF file that, when loaded by the target application using the CDF library, will trigger
a buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability resides in 'src/lib/cdfread64.c'.
The
vendor was notified on April 7, 2008.
