Description:  Several vulnerabilities were reported in HP Instant Support. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will invoke ActiveX controls in 'HPISDataManager.dll' and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

Dennis Rand of CSIS Security Research and Intelligence reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:  A remote user can create HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:  The vendor has issued a fixed version (1.0.0.24 or later), available via the "launch an online diagnostic session" menu on the Instant Support Professional edition web site at:
