Description: A vulnerability was reported in Mozilla Firefox. A remote user may be able to cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.
A remote user can create a specially crafted GIF file that, when loaded by the target user, will free an uninitialized pointer and
cause the target user's browser to crash. It may be possible to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Systems running
Mac OS X are affected.
Firefox 2 is not affected.
Drew Yao of Apple Product Security reported this vulnerability.

Impact: A remote user can create a file that, when loaded by the target user, may execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

Solution: The vendor has issued a fixed version (3.0.1).
