Description: A vulnerability was reported in Java Runtime Environment (JRE). A remote user can bypass same-origin policy restrictions.
A remote user can create a specially crafted applet that, when loaded by the target user, will be able to bypass network access restrictions and connect to certain ports on the local host.

Solution: Sun has issued the following fixes.

* JDK and JRE 5.0 Update 16 or later
* SDK
and JRE 1.4.2_18 or later
* SDK and JRE 1.3.1_23 or later

SDK and JRE 1.3.1 has completed the Sun End of Life (EOL) process

Sun strongly recommends that users upgrade to the latest releases.
