Description: A vulnerability was reported in Informix Storage Manager. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
A remote user can send specially crafted data to trigger any of several stack and heap overflows and execute arbitrary code on the
target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target service (administrative privileges).
The buffer overflows
reside in certain XDR functions used by the RPC components of the product.
The following ports may be affected:
111, 7937,
7938, 7939, 7940, 7941, 36890
Only Windows-based systems are affected, as the XDR functions are provided by the operating system
for UNIX-based systems.
IBM has assigned APARs IC55040 and IC55041 to this vulnerability.

Impact: A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system with administrative privileges.

Solution: The vendor plans to issue the following fixes.
For 11.10.xC2 or below: 11.10.xC2W1
For 10.00.xC8 or below: 10.00.xC8W1
