Description:  Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Microsoft Word. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create a specially crafted file that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

Specially crafted Word documents can trigger memory corruption errors [CVE-2008-4024, CVE-2008-4026].

Specially crafted Rich Text Format (RTF) documents can trigger parsing errors [CVE-2008-4025, CVE-2008-4027, CVE-2008-4028, CVE-2008-4030, CVE-2008-4031]

A specially crafted Word object can trigger a memory corruption error [CVE-2008-4837].

Ricardo Narvaja of Core Security Technologies, Dyon Balding of Secunia Research, Yamata Li of Palo Alto Networks, Wushi, working with TippingPoint, Aaron Portnoy of TippingPoint DVLabs, and Wushi and Ling, working with TippingPoint, reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:  A remote user can create a Word or RTF file that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
