Description: Several vulnerabilities were reported in BrightStor ARCserve Backup. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.
A remote user can send specially crafted data to trigger a buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The
code will run with the privileges of the target service.
The Message Engine and AScore.dll components are affected [CVE-2007-5325].
The
RPC and rpcx.dll components are affected [CVE-2007-5326].
The Message Engine is affected [CVE-2007-5327].
A remote user can
access certain privileged functions [CVE-2007-5328].
A remote user can send specially crafted RPC data to trigger memory corruption
errors, causing denial of service conditions or potentially executing arbitrary code.
The dbasvr component is affected [CVE-2007-5329].
The
RPC service component is affected [CVE-2007-5330].
The lqserver and media server components are affected [CVE-2007-5331].
The
mediasvr and caloggerd components are affected [CVE-2007-5332].
Dyon Balding of Secunia Research, cocoruder of Fortinet Security
Research Team, Tenable Network Security, Pedram Amini of DV Labs, eEye Digital Security, shirkdog, and a researcher working with
iDefense reported these vulnerabilities.
